Personal recommendation
Some of the courses are really good and some still need to be improved, you can sense that it is still a young school under development. The other students are really nice and internationally oriented

Social life in Rennes is very much what you make of it. There is a large international community in the city, which is much welcomed by the local people. The city has many bars, alledgedy you can drink in a different bar each day of the year. The city centre, especially Rue St. Michel, also know as the 'Rue de Soif', is packed with bars and cafes, all very individual and friendly. Rennes plays host to a number of festivals which really shouldn't be missed, including the annual Transmusicales (live music weekend) and regular 'Fest Noz' evenings. Not quite so exciting but a cultural event not to be missed is the weekly market on a Saturday morning, which takes over the city. The seafood is incredible, and the traders love us international students!

Personal comments
I definitely improved my French and refreshed my English skills. Unfortunately my French didn't improve as much as I wanted to. That's because we only had 1 1/2 hours French lessons a week and I usually spend my freetime with international students. On the other hand, I improved my English a lot. I used to live with 5 other students in an apartment and we spoke English with each other.
