daily communication with local people is a little difficult but in university, we can communicate with each other in english, so no problem

I was fairly confident in my French language abilities before arriving in France, as I had been studying French for many years. I did experience some difficulties, especially in social situations, however I did expect this and did the best to learn from them.

I had the gained the skills in French beforehand which I found very useful during the stay. Even if the the instruction is held in English, French is still needed in everyday situations and in handling administrative matters.

It was difficult to practice my french as we were all taught in english and everyone at the school wanted to practice there english with me. I would have liked to have been more involved in speaking the language more often.
