Probably more frequent tutorials would be helpful. The university has very high-level academic approach which is based on individual work. However, more discussions and team work during classes would be interesting and helpful for students.

I wish I had known more about the dutch mentality and history. It would have been better to discover the country.

This University should inform more international students about the way they work with the e-learning, because most of them are not used to it at all.

I recommend to live in an international house, not too far from the city center. It is also very important to buy a bikre if you study in Groningen because it is very convenient.

If you want to live in a student house, apply for Moesstraat, Blekerslaan or Winschoterdiep through the Housing Office. You will love them. Get a bike as soon as you can but most important, purchase a VERY good lock as it's very easy to be stolen a bike... Then, enjoy Groningen a lot!

Muy buena experiencia
Jordi P
Spain, Graduate
Marketing and Sales Management, 2020
Overall
Muy buenos profesores y expertos en las materias, tratan de realizar casos prácticos para que los alumnos puedan ver qué es lo que se encontraran en un futuro. Hay un alto porcentaje de personas internacionales tanto en alumnado como entre el profesorado.

Cons

I wish I had known...
It would have been useful to know already in advance that I am allowed to take courses also from the other faculties. I knew hardly anything of the country before I left, but I liked it that way: it was an adventure and I enjoyed every moment!!!

If you're planing to travel a lot, it's worth while to buy a special discount card for the railways. It costs about 100 fl, but you get a 40% discount of the ticket prises with it, so it pays off quickly. Check out the extremely cheap bus trips to, for example, London and Spain!!! And don't mind the rain - you'll get used to it...
