Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
It was a great experience to live in the same house as all the other exchange students. All friends were gathered under the same roof.

Personal comments
I lkied it very much, it was a bit expensive but worth it for one semester. I got to know so many new people by living like that and the atmosphere in the house was very friendly. The house consisted of flats that were shared by two people. It was very spaceful and no problems to have friends visiting.

Personal comments
I studied English (language of instruction at RSM) for 13 years before coming to study my post-graduate studies. In my host university almost all the courses were taught in Spanish and very few in English. I took a two-week Dutch course before the MBA classes started, and then during my four-month intership at Rabobank in Utrecht my Dutch improved a lot (I would not say that I speak dutch, just everyday knowledge)

Live in the International House since it is there everyone lives and all the parties are. Bring your own laptop. Be prepared that the housing costs are rather high. No internet acces at home. Food shops closed on Sundays!

My main goal when I decided to integrate an exchange program into my studies it was to learn English. Even though I have had some communication problems at first, the day-to-day contact with people speaking English and the help from both colleges and teachers at school allow me to improve on my English skills, especially in business vocabulary.

i especially appreciated the contact with international students, not so much with dutch students who were less open for socializing.

try to get internet access quickly, otherwise you will have to go to university too often which becomes annoying. don't worry about traveling. there are always people around with whom you can do trips. brace yourself for dutch dance/trance music. it dominates almost every location.

Personal recommendation
I really recommend this university. The university encourages and practices team-work; practical and essential content/subjects, communication skills and inter-communication which are stimulating and essential for student learning. In addition, the university has available important resources of information and offers vital information technology that we may use all the time.
