My project for my home university didn't really have much in common with what I was doing. The courses at Bochum didn't really convey either, but I enjoyed the courses that I did follow.
it is a bit disturbing atthe begining to choose our courses because there is no real explanation concerning the level of each course. But it is easy to change whenever we want.
the university is big. As foreign, you are equal to the 30 000 other students there, and if you need help you need to stand in line for it. The classes have to many students in it, and the auditoriums are huge, meaning it is often impossible to see what the teachers write on the blackboards.
