Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Close to the city, and there's more freedom to choose the type of lodging. Plus, the university has a service for students looking for housing, which is really helpful!

Personal comments
The only downside is that appartments are expensive...but there's something for every budget within a 25 minute bus/train ride...from what I've heard, student "dorms" are an interesting experience, but not too independent or comfortable

The international student office will help and guide you through all your administrative obligations. Traveling is very easy and the region is full of small and lovely towns, as well and woods, lakes... Just enjoy it.

I had no particular problem, certainly because I had studied German before (at school, at University); it could have been quite difficult to attend most courses without these good linguistic skills in German.

Course recommendations
It's difficult to get the courses that you want in the English seminar, because there's always too many people.
