It was my first trip to USA. So I faced the all language problems consequently. But after a while, things got smoother. I got used to the country and the languagae. Slangs were really challenging. Therefore, there can be seperate courses for internationals for voice similarity to the daily language. No one talks like they do on TV.

At first, it was difficult to get used to the American accent, especially with the teachers. Finally, I got used to it after one month and I had no difficulties to interact with the teachers and American students as well as International students.

Communicating was pretty easy. The only minor problem I had was speaking the language in the first weeks. This was because you hardly speak English in the Netherlands.

Before I came here i didn't really have problems in communicating in English so I didn't have problems. Of course I learned some new words and slang.
