The nightlife in Madrid is AMAZING! There are so many hot spots I can't even remember. There is a place called Bora Bora, be careful the drinks are much stronger than they taste. The Buen Retiro park cannot be missed, I used to run there all the time, amazing!! Club Pacha was a favorite of many of my friends. Just be open minded and check out everything. I know it sounds overwhelming, but if you don't you will regret is when you get back

I wish I had known...
That I had to find my own housing and that the trips arranged by the school are a money making machine.

No. There are always surprises. You cannot be completely prepared to live outside your element otherwise it would not be outside your element.

You will love it if you let yourself. The experience of living and studying abroad is daunting but you will never again have such an opportunity.

It changed my life, this experience. Now I am a Peace Corps volunteer in El Salvador thanks to the language skills provided by Suffolk-Madrid.

Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
I loved living in an apartment! I only just wish that I could have been living with students of the country in which i was studying, so that I could have had a better feel for the language. But, overall it was wonderful and I met great people!

Everything was really great! I know that the person in charge of housing tried really hard to make the best accomodations for everyone and also helped in making the entire stay worthwhile!

It is small but everyone is so friendly and the teachers are helpful and understanding. It is very conducive to international students. It is also such a fun city to go to school.

Travelling is easy to do and you should see a travel agent for flights because they are generally cheaper!
