Suffolk University, Madrid Campus

Take as many Spanish classes as possible. You will learn a great deal about the history of Spain, and it will help a great deal adjusting to the language. Save the Business classes to the Boston campus!

I would try to promote more interaction between the students on the campus. People lived all over Madrid on off campus apartments and quite frequently the only time you would see other studets was during classes, or if a planned trip was scheduled. As far as the classes themselves, they were excellent and I found the professors to be well prepared and knowledgeable of thier course material. I had one business class that I was dissapointed in, but other than that my overall my experience was excellent.

Some courses were very strong, especially the Spanish Cultural Studies course. It would have been nice had there been some more options. I recommend students take as many classes as they can in Spanish.

Better teaches in some areas.

Take all your courses at once so you have more free days and have more time to have fun!

The professors didn't have us pay too much attention to the texts, I almost with I hadn't bought them. And then you can't even sell them back.

If you have a semester to take electives.. do do study abroad. This school is great for only semester. It is very lax... which enables you to travel alot.

Having just a midterm and a final I did not like very much.

Take Professor Suarez Galvan and Professor Carmen for Art - they are the only two I would recommend although I heard that Shaw was good for history and there was a great Philosophy professor but who is no longer working there

They base everything on a two exam system and this is all or nothing - the only thing is that the students don't study so the level is about 10th grade high school and you can easily get a B without trying (Do they really count the credits you get here?)!! It is not a place to improve your academics except for a few good teachers Carmen Ana and Eugenio Suarez Galvan

you can usually transfer your credits to your home university, so take what you have to take.

just keep up your study, don't miss too many classes.
