I wish I had known...
I wish I would have gone to a bigger Univeristy and a more American one in Madrid so I could meet more Americans and more variety of people. There is a BIG one very close to Suffolk and I am applying here.

You only have one chance to have a good experience in another country. Spain is beautiful and you should go. The dollar is weak now and Suffolk is not worth what they charge. There are a few good people there but overall, I can't recommend it. Look at bigger places first. Visit first. Look for an AMerican director.

I wish I brought at least $150 -$200 a week and understood the exchange rate better.

The university was great and I recommend it to everyone. Suffolk doesn't overwhelm you with class work so you have the chance to experience Spanish culture thoroughly.

The courses and professors are well prepared, my only recommendation is that it is better to travel on your own, and find a place to live by your own too.

Do not depend on the admisitrative staff. It will be more effective if you find any information by youserlf with local people.

Suffolk University Madrid is small but a diamond in the rough. There are many people there that are loving, warm and quite anxious to help you. Have an open mind and be a sponge. Let yourself absorb the culture, the people, the food, everything!

Check out St. Louis University that is also in Madrid - It may be too big but Suffolk is a big disappointment and depressing - staff and professors are tense.
