I wish I had known...

Perhaps learning how to dress for the cold weather was not in my know-hows. It sounds dumb but its true! hehe Shoes gave me a problem at first. They got wet and were very slippery.

THere is not a looot of nightlife, its not a big city. I like the university in general and the hang outs are also a lot to nature like cottage weekends, or small gatherings at the lake.

I really liked finland, you get a bit more in touch with nature, and Tampere is not a big city so don´t expect to find endless coffees and bars.

I cannot complain about it. My problem was that I was the first student from my home university who went to Tampere. Therefore I had no knowledge about how it was going to be like. Anyway it took me only a week to manage to find a home.

Try to subscribe to a course beforehand. There are courses where more people show up and the teacher has to send away students, so if you don't know if you've done everything right for registration, ask a tutor

there should certainly be an easier way to register for courses and examinations, I heard it is in work; reading material should be available other Intranet more often (and not in a shop where it is sold out after a few hours)
