Living in an all Danish dormitory is indeed one of the biggest challenges in my stay in Denmark. While the Danes are very good in their English, they tend to speak Danish all the time, and I, being the only exchange student, makes it seem so hard to communicate with them at first. Well, things turn out much better than I expected and right now, I have already integrated into this small "family" in my dorm. They really make me feel so welcomed and in fact, the lanuguage barrier does not seem as strong as it started out with. Perhaps, my Danish course in school helps a little. But the opportunity to know the locals is certainly a fantastic experience for me. It can be quite hard for any exchange student, living alone with 12 other Danish students. But fortunately for me, the cultural differences are easily dissolved and I can confidently say that I have made a quick adjustment to my life in Denmark.
