Alcohol very expensive in comparison to UK. Rent was also exteremely expensive for the service received. Food is good but by no means cheaper and although rail-travel is excellent, the prices of flights are considerably higher.

High initial deposit/guarantee. Mobile phone charges expensive. I advise searching for shared private accomodation and buying a contract phone.

arrrange accomodation in advance, buy second hand furniture. French banks service is notoriously poor in comparison with english ones, particularly with overdraft facilities

France is very EXPENSIVE!!!! And lots of things are completly unjustifiable. Going out is a treat as they're food and wine are great, but VERY expensive!

French government helped me with 160 euros a month for living expenses, helps a lot and is the only french bureocracy that works fast and easily. Need to be european or have a carte de sejour

Life in Toulouse it much more expensive than in Holland. Every thing you want to do costs money, but there are a lot of things organized for students prices.
