Personal comments
Visit Primo, Kino and Blnko as good places to be. As well as the river in summer and its terrasses near the boats. After a day of study drink a pint in Proffan opposite the TuKKK. If you are there take part in the student life, Pikkulaskainen, Vappu are not to be missed.

Academic
Course recommendations
All the courses are really interesting and the contents are absolutely up to date! I would recommend to attend courses with an intercultural subject - to get some theory about what you experience daily.

If you speak English you will have no difficulties to communicate. People at university and in shops/banks... speak English and will always help you. Nevertheless I would recommend to learn some phrases in Finnish as the local people appreciate your effort very much.

the level of life in Finland was a little bit higher that expected. For instance some food in general comes from abroad and the night life was a little bit expensive cause of the government taxes regulations.
