Never been more comfortable. Reasonable and with common kitchens with the rest of the international students. Short walk to school, gym, grocery, pub...

Buy especially fruits and vegetables on the market. It is a lot cheaper than in the supermarkets.

All exchange students of my university lived close together in a student village near by the university. I had an own bathroom with shower/toilet and an own fridge in my room, the kitchen was shared.

I participated in a basic course for Finnish for foreigners and it was funny. At least, I could speak a little bit after this course. I had no problems with English, as it is well spoken almost everywhere in Finland and my knowledge is good.

In Finland almost everybody speaks english, so it is not a problem at all to communicate with the people. But it is still good and interesting to learn at least basic phrases in the local language.
