My overall language and communication experience was pretty good. Although english is not the local language, almost everyone understood and spoke english. This made it very easy for me to communicate and also learn a couple of phrases in the local language. Ocassionally, i had problems when i went to the grocery store but there was always someone to help.

Everyone I met around, in or out of school could actually tell me something in English. This made it very hard for me to quickly learn the local language. Swedes are good in English and I liked this from the start, but realised how lazy I could be at learning the languauge.

It was a bit difficult in the begining but a real pleasure in the end to be so fluent in my second language and not having problems to express myself and to understand the others. It was also very interestong to learn another language and I want to improve my swedish now.

Sweden is a very good place to improve your English skills because on the one hand you meet a lot of students from different nationalities and on the other hand, almost every Swede is able to speak English more or less fluently.

It was cool to lear some swedish even though it is a really hard language. Luckly, you do not need to know swedish to survive: even the 99 years old woman does speaks english!
