When I got to Barcelona, I already spoke spanish. Barcelona is a bilingual city - spanish and catalan. Most problems occur with catalan, but since everybody speaks spanish and classes were in spanish too, no problem at all. I can also follow a conversation in catalan, I understand almost everything, but I don't feel comfortable speaking.

If you take money out of the cash machine, it costs you every time 5 guilders(2 dollars, 400 Pesetas). So you have to take big amounts out of the machine to save the costs.

Overall

I have a lot more leisure time here, so I go out for diner and drinks a lot more than back home. Since I am only here for a short period I wanted to see and do everything and of course that costs money

Barcelona isn´t a very expensive city, compared to for example Londen and Paris. You can have a really good diner in a restaurant here for a very reasonable price. Just watch the drinks when you go out because the raised all the prices incredibly since the existence of the EURO.

“Good University”

Overall
The campus is big and beautiful. Is a place where you can easily make friends and know cool people who study different types of degrees.
Most teachers are gentle and they try to help you as much as they can.
The organization of the university sometimes is caotic but still worth it.
