I knew very little spanish upon arrival in spain. within a month and a half I was speaking almost fluenlty. i also speack french and italian so it was not that difficult to pick up. i knew people however,who never learned anything

at first although i knew basic vocabulary and grammar, i could hold understood but very little spontaneous conversation. my language improved greatly and normal conversation & debate is possible, can understand almost everything.

as all the courses taught in Granada University are in Spanish this was a perfect way to practise my language skills. and extremely important is also to live with locals to help to acquire everyday knowledge and youth slang.
