“Unrepeatable experience in Granada”
Carolina S
Spain, Undergraduate
Biotechnology, 2019
Overall
Granada is one of the best cities for students in Andalusia. There you can find a lot of culture, history, party and, above all, students. If you're looking for a little city where develop your academic formation at the same time that you enjoy a dynamic and multicultural lifestyle, this is your place.
As for the degree, Biotechnology is a new degree in the university of Granada. That's the reason why sometimes there is a lack of organization regarding some contents of some subjects, administrative processing, ... In spite of that, it remains a level of quality and high level.

If you are finding you're own housing, look to live with other university students, and you do not need to go to real estate offices to look for a room.

“Great opportunities, bad organisation”
María G
Spain, Undergraduate
Biotechnology, 2021
Overall
Biotecnology degree in the University of Granada is very new, so it is a bit of a mess, as they are still organizing the subjects and learning from each year's experience to make them better. It's a very hard degree, specially the firs two years, teacher are very demanding and the subjects are tough. Some teachers are bad and others are great, as everywhere.
It is true that I have learned a lot, but I think lab practices could be better in some subjects, and also teachers could help us more in general. I also thing that they should offer compulsory internships in enterprises for everyone.

1. Do as much travelling as you can, without loosing touch with the city.
2. Try to adapt the Spanish way - 'when in Rome, do as the Romans'!!
3. The cafes at 'La Plaza de Einstein' offers great cheap tapas - enjoy :)
