I wish I had known...
Nothing that I did not know before from previous oversee-stays. If anything, keep on going. There might be or more will most likely be times that will be hard (i.e. cultureshock, homesickness, etc.), but think about the fact that there have been people who went through exactly the same as you do and they were able to cope. And so will you!

Final comments
Try to see more of the country. Spain, and especially Andalucia, is worth taking a closer look. If you find the time and you have the chance, do not miss out on Tarifa. Beautiful surfer-beach with white sand and blue water. Spain has a lot of things to offer.
