THE NIGHTLIFE IS MORE INTENSE AND EATING OUT IS MORE THE NORM THAN EATING IN.

Less in food because it is a lot cheaper in Spain. More in travel and nightlife beacuse I don't go out or travel very much in my own country.

food was more expensive above all italian food. Travel was more expensive because I had to pay the flight from Spain to Italy

Food and accomodation were well cheap and we ended up paying half as much for a nicer flat than we do in Birmingham for a rat inffested flee pit. The phone however went up as we made loads of international calls had internet conections and all bought mobiles for extra coverage. travelling went up as we went to loads of cool paces and visited far off towns and cities for tourism...something you don't often do in Birmingham funnily enough. Nightlife was about the same because the cheaper it is the more you want so it ended up levelling off evenly. However in all if you way it all up it was a hell of a lot cheaper and usually better quality than home...especially the food.

When I am at my parents place I do not have to pay rent and usually spend less on food. I spend more on travel, because I take the chance to see a little bit more of the country if it is possible timewise and financially.

Because the house renting was more expensive than here in Portugal.
