Just save your money before you get there, use ATM"s to retrive money it's cheaper then exchanging and safer to pull out only what you need a few times rather then to have all of the moeny at once. Also have a credit card available for other purchases that you will not use cash for like travel.

I should have planned to stay longer! Also, I didn't pack enough warm clothing and ended up having to buy winter clothing, which added to my expenses.

I loved living in a completely different lifestyle from what I am used to in the United States. I cannot wait to return to Salamanca someday!

It's a nice place to stay, is a little city, you don't need to use bus or anything, you can walk almost everywhere, is really safe

Coming from the US, things will seem very inexpensive. Be sure when you are exchanging currency that you bring your passport (most places won't exchange without one) and that you know their comission. You're better off using banks and exchanges away from Plaza Mayor, it can save you loads.
