Aun no he empezado la universidad y este es mi primer año asique no tengo un referencias suficientes sobre sus políticas de cara a encontrar prácticas. Pero me consta que tienen una política muy abierta de cara a facilitar practicas tanto nacionales como internacionales.

Los profesores son muy atentos, pero a veces las cosas son muy mal organizadas. En cualquier caso, la ciudad en general es una buena opción para estudiar en extranjero: no es ni grande ni pequeña, es muy segura, y la gente normalmente habla solo español, ¡así que tendrás que mejorar tu nivel de este idioma!

Under Spanish law, deposits on flats are 1months rent if unfurnished, or 2 if furnished. This means you pay up to 3 months' rent up front, so opening a Spanish account and transferring money ASAP is important. Check how much your bank charges to take out money abroad and to transfer money for foreign accounts. Setting up bank accounts are easy, all you need is your passport and some money to deposit. iberCaja is a great bank (but they are only local.) Santander Central Hispano are good and a very big national bank (and have agreement with RBS back home).

Go at least 5 working days before the start of your course because many many others are looking for accommodation a couple of days before the start and it is quite stressful and expensive calling about so many flats and competing with other students. Be prepared to make quick decisions and make your deposit on the spot. I say working days because the university doesn't update the rooms database at the weekend. However do not despair, there is always free accommodation advertised and you will find a good flat.

Hay profesores con trayectorias notables y el plan de estudios es muy completo. Además, el situarse tan cerca de los Pirineos facilita la gran cantidad de estudios prácticos que se llevan a cabo.

La universidad te orienta bastante pero finalmente es el alumno el que tiene que poner de su parte si pretende encontrar algo más "especial" o concreto. En mi caso, realicé una autocandidatura al empleador en el que estaba interesada

Que cuenta con una gran cantidad de trabajo práctico

En ocasiones la carga de trabajo no se encuentra bien distribuida en el plan de estudios
Housing: My rent was expensive for Spain but still cheap for the UK.
Travel: I did more travelling then I do in the UK. (I also had to catch to bus to the engineering school). Bus/train tickets have a more-or-less constant price , in the UK the prices change for singles/returns advance purchases special offers etc. If you are lucky travel can work out cheaper in UK but it is usually more expensive than Spain.

You have to buy copies of the lecture notes. The plus side of this is that they are usually have better quality/content/presentation.
Buses from Madrid/Barcelona are much cheaper than the train.
