I wish I had known...
I found my contact there quite unhelpful. I'd have benefited from a better infrastructure though that my have been the fault of my home university department.

Zaragoza is a fantastic city for an Erasmus exchange because it is a good size (not too big to be overwhelming, and not too small to get boring) In the space of an academic year you can make the most of what is has to offer. The university campus is central and compact, the atmosphere is welcoming.

I would not recomend travelling to Zaragoza airport, but instead going to either Madrid or Barcelona. This is a much cheaper option and there are good train and bus (cheaper still) links between these cities.

Housing
Type of housing: (piso compartido)
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
A lot of independence, cheaper compared to campus accommodation

Personal comments
Campus accomodation is very expensive (around 500 Euros/month) and most comments I heard weren't particularly positive (noisy, small rooms...). Generally it is absolutely no problem to find a room in a shared apartment at a reasonable price. However, try not to have exceedingly high expectations in terms of facilities at the apartments.

Academic
Course recommendations
I found the 5th year courses easier than the 3rd and second year courses. The classes are smaller, they tended to be coursework based and more interesting.
Go for option rather than compulsory modules.

No printer (that I could find) in the whole of the engineering school!
The lecturers are helpful and put a lot of time into teaching, but the general facilities/support for students is poor.

I wish I had known...
A bit more academic information would have been helpful as then I would not have picked some of the modules I ended up taking.

I would give a thumbs up - it hasn't got the highest academic standards and the lack of facilities could be a problem for some people but Erasmus is about much more than learning academically.

This was my only choice of University to study at but a have no regrets about going there. Zaragoza is a great city full of great people. I felt very much at home there.
Take full advantage of what Zaragoza has to offer - too many students complained of there not being anything to do - there is plenty on if you look hard enough!
