Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
because i like indipendent life. i also like living with other people and looking for an appartment is a very good way to know people with a shared need: finding a house!
An apartment is also a form of responsability and frfeedom at once, and i like both of them.

If returning, I would choose: With a family
Why?
I would have liked to of lived with a family rather than American students because I would have gotten more out of the experience both language and culture wise.

It was not just American students on the trip but also international students from many different countries. It was neat to live with diverse people. The housing was charming but at times could be frustrating when things would break and we couldn't get ahold of a landlord. Other students' apartments differed. Some were nicer than others and some the same.

I really enjoyed living with the host university's students. Living with a native speaker greatly develops your language skills.

I would again live in an apartment for the independence of it, but I would live with Spaniards instead of Americans

It was a bit of a mess getting settled. The host university wasn't helpful or accomodating. More or less, simply plop students where they will be. I would recommend instead doing it all independently, by using the university's bulletin boards as information on who needs a roommate
