Portugal is small and during wee-ends coimbra get empty; so use your wee-ends to visit the country!
Both north and south has cities to see and things to do. Not miss Porto nor Lisbon.
Portuguese peolpe is wonderful, they usually speak a good english ('cause they see films in mother tongue) and they know how to receive peolpe. They're always ready to help you, to give tips and to show the beauties of their country.

Relax! verythinghere is slower than in Britain. to give an example, teachers arrive to classes about 30 min late every day.

Generally there's good internet access anywhere you go here and a good way of meeting people is by joining societies. A good one is the rowing society which is really friendly.

Students and teachers are usually kind people. The weather is warm and rainy.
If you need help, it will be quite easy to find it.

Learned very well the language, speaked fluently, meet over 5 hundred othe erasmus and a very good opportunity to travel in Portugal/Spain
