OverallThe University of Sao Paulo is among the best in Brazil and Latin America. It is the best option for the people who want to have an academic carreer doing research or as professors, because it quite focuses on that. There are many opportunities in student groups of many kinds (social, entrepreneurs, events etc).

The students would be the biggest pro.
Cons
As many other public Universities in Brazil, it is running out of resources. Since a couple years ago, the administration has been hiring less employees and professors, and cutting some resources that would go to research, for example.
