“A nest for those seriously comitted to be the best in their jobs!”

Évaluation globale
At USP I can review two courses: Languages and Architecture. The Language courses has many different languages - I chose English and Portuguese - and is the most complete in my country. I got also a license to teach and I could get in touch with teachers in another department: Education. And I attended also the Architecture and Urban Planning department afterwards, which has a complete syllabus including design.
I could have many specialists in these three areas, professors that were well-known in Brazil.
About the students, one can find there people from different places from Brazil and sometimes from abroad, and there is an pleasant atmosphere of study among them.
The main campus, where I studied, is located in the city of São Paulo. It´s like a huge park, with plenty of squares and nice places to rest. It has some facilities like housing for those in need, budget restaurants, health care and dental care free services, a complete sports center (where Ayrton Senna used to train!), and some bus lines.
It´s very common that big companies, including foreign ones, come to invite students to work with them. Microsoft, for instance, usually pins its ads hiring students. Therefore, it´s not difficult to find a job being a graduate of USP.

Évaluation globale
The University of Sao Paulo is among the best in Brazil and Latin America. It is the best option for the people who want to have an academic carreer doing research or as professors, because it quite focuses on that. There are many opportunities in student groups of many kinds (social, entrepreneurs, events etc).

Points forts
The students would be the biggest pro.
Inconvénients
As many other public Universities in Brazil, it is running out of resources. Since a couple years ago, the administration has been hiring less employees and professors, and cutting some resources that would go to research, for example.
