“Experience in communication sciences”

Italy, Graduate

Overall
The course is well compound and with enough good level of professors. Unfortunately, votes are not always depend from personal efforts, but also from interpersonal relations and sympathy. Good option in choosing of exams' dates that is very flexible. If a student is not satisfied about a vote, it's a possibility to refuse it and take another time. Not stressful in lessons, but a bit stressful during preparation. Generally, it was a positive experience and very nice memories.

I wish I had known...
I wish i'd really looked into the place as I was too swayed by the idea of going skiing in the mountains at winter! I wish I'd gone for a more lively town with loads to see and do and get involved in. I also wish my Italian had been better before i left so I could've made friends easier. I found the experience quite boring despite being quite a lively, outgoing person. I've loved previous experiences of living abroad and travelling but Bergamo really disappointed me.

I wish I could say I loved my year here but I didn't! Although I made some good friends I would definitely not go here again if I had the chance.

I hope i haven't painted a too bad picture of this uni but it is the truth! I'm sure many students have had a fantastic time here but I can't say I did!

Do not go to Bergamo if you need to do courses in English :). But do go if you want to learn Italian, and have very nice and helpful tutors.

If you are travelling from Austria by train, you may find it cheaper to buy a ticket to the Italian border, and then buy another in the train, when you have entered Italy. The railway transport is much, much cheaper from the Austrian!
