I would have liked a bigger apartment, and I found, once I arrived that larger accomodation would have been within my budget.

I found the accomodation basic but adequate for the needs of any student. It was a minute walk to the university and connected to the city centre by both trams and buses. The atmosphere in the apartment block was very friendly; there were regular parties, which offered ample opportunities to meet other students and speak German. Overall the accomodation that I received was ideal for my needs.
The UniViertel Halls of Residence are right on uni campus within 2 mins walking distance from classrooms etc.

Accommodation provided by university is very cheap and reasonable in comparison to the British ones. Some of the halls are a bit far away from the campus but Augsburg is not such a big place.
People at the accommodations office were very helpful and the students were also very friendly. The room had a bathroom and a kitchen...very private atmosphere; however, a great way to meet students.
