There are many clubs along the Ring (Vienna´s center is surrounded by a big ring), like Chelsea (with great life concerts) or B72. But the place to go is Flex, near the Danube canal, with funny partys and other events. Vienna is the city of cafes as well. In Hawelka Cafe (Dorotheergasse) you can enjoy the traditional atmosphere of an austrian cafe. I also enjoyed Hummel cafe (Josefstädterstrasse) and Kandinsky cafe (Lerchenfelder Straße, near Pfeilheim, my residence).

Make sure you insurance covers your stay in Austria. Also keep in mind that you will be spending a lot more money there. Living with an Austrian student(s) seems to have been more fun as the student housing is often crouded and noisy. I found my room via the internet!

Housing
Type of housing: Dormitory
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Dormitory
Why?
I find it very useful to have an experience of a student dormitory, because it streghtens your responsibility and paience, and you learn a lot.

It would be advisable to buy a semester ticket. It enables to travel as much as we want, where we only wish and it is cheaper in comparison with a week ticket.
