I spoke French most of the time. Of course there were slight differences of vocabulary and accent between the French of France and the French of Belgium, but I adjusted quickly. My professors asked if I understood and I had assistance from my suitemates when needed.

I would recommend to be open minded, talk to everyone, participate in everything you can, travel, go to class too. The main recommendation is, I repeat, meet native people. Don't stay all day with people of your country talking in your language, be open minded.

If you want to know a different culture, have friends from all around the world, enjoy, LLN is for you.. On the other hand, if you look for an academic experience, you should be careful about compability of courses and language.

Master en notariat UCL
Diane B
Belgium, Graduate

Overall
