Université Michel de Montaigne: Bordeaux III

You need to have a RIB for housing (security deposit). Without that RIB (when you open a french bank account), everything is harder and you need to show cash upfront.

I am usnure jow safe the campus is at night. The university campus is approximately 40 minutes away from the city centre by bus and I would rather live nearer to the city centre and commute to university each day for lectures.

Go to St. Emilion and buy excessive amounts of cheap, but quality wine.PS. Save a bottle for your parents, if you ever go home that is.

If you go to Bordeaux, take a car with you. It's a lot more practical and you are not dependent on bus/train (which are on strike from time to time). Plus you can do weekend trips to the sea or to the mountains!! If you arrive and look for an apartment in town, walk around the streets and look for signs on the buildings saying "A louer". Call the number on the sign and ask for having a look at it. It's a lot cheaper to do it that way. A district where lots of students live is the "Victoire"

If you aaply for halls, get the form in by the end of May, and if youère looking for somewhere in town, come out at the beginning of the summer.
