Personal comments
I was lucky enough to be able to share the appartment with another student from Paris III, which made for a fantastic experience! If you're looking for independent accomodation around Paris, colocation is definitely worth consideration. Proximity to your host university is also a plus, although the great public transport in central Paris means that it isn't hugely necessary.

'COS I WAS SHERING A ROOM WITH TWO PEOPLE AND IT WAS REEALY EXPENSIVE, WE PAID 2.520FF EACH ONE. THE BREAKFAST AND THE DINNER WERE INCLUDED BUT ANYWAY, IT'S NOT A NORMAL PRICE FOR A ROOM FOR THREE PEOPLE WITHOUT WC OR SHOWER. BUT I DIDN'T HAVE AN OTHER CHOICE.
IN GENERAL LOCATION IN PARIS IS REALY EXPENSIVE, THE BEST THING IS TO SHARE AN APPARTMENT. THE MAIN PROBLEM PROBLEM IS THAT PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO RENT HIS APPARTMENT FOR A SHORT TERM PERIOD.

I wish I had known...
