French housing agencies require you to have someone guarantee for your apartment ("la caution"), and this should preferably be someone living in France, which can create problems for foreigners. We solved the problem by having our parents guarantee "la caution" to the Norwegian consulate, which then guaranteed for us at the housing agency. Very bureaucratic! When I first came to Toulouse though, I didn't have this problem as the housing was arranged through the university, meaning that they made an exception for us and accepted a statement from our parents in Norway.

It was not very proper but it was very good located. They were changing the buildings and putting acces to internet. But at my time there wasnt acces to internet nor access to akitcher nor entretainment activities.

We often joked about how our rooms were similar to prison cells, but now we say that we would go back in a heartbeat.

Richer colleagues stayed in private houses, all Italians and Spanish stayed at Arsenl campus and enjoyed it immensely.

The rooms are very small (9m²), but cheap as well. Fortunately, my room was in a new building, so everything was new!

Very central, but small rooms, and you have to share wc and shower with the whole floor.
