Food was less because it tends to be slightly (but not much) cheaper in France; my phone expenses were less because I had an internet connection in my room. Beware of the prices of drinks in bars though! Spent more on travel because there were loads of things to see, generally.

I'd recommend getting the complementary health insurance to save on doctor's bills; I'd also recommend the 'abonnement' for the local buses and trams.

I spent less on absolutely everything. Drinks can be expensive, but buying drink in the supermarket is very cheap.

Costs for most things were cheaper than in Scotland in Mulhouse. Night life is very expensive though with people paying up to 8€ for a single drink in one of the few night clubs in the town.

Food and clothes shopping was very cheap so I saved alot in that aspect. The night life was not as hectic as in DCU so we used to go to the cinema or have small gatherings in our dorms instead of going clubbing.
