Pourquoi?
Because it's easier to have your own kitchen where you can cook. I got lucky because the kitchen in our floor is not crowded so I was able to cook all the time but I think it would have been easier to have my own place. Less of a hassle and I don' have to worry about making too much noise. Also, I would have been able to set up an internet access if I had my own place. At our dormitory, the access was an additional cost for us.
