Sometimes its disgusting, the walls are thin like paper etc. but you geht to know a lot of new people - it is easier to make friends when you live in a student hostel

I lived at Beaulieu, that is a huge campus with a lot of student homes. Normally 40 persons share a kitchen and two bathrooms. There is no community room and you have to eat in your own room and everybody has to bring its own dishes etc. But it is green outside, there is a library, TV-room, computer room, sports facilities etc.
Si j'y retournais je choisirais: share an apartment with french students
Pourquoi?
it was hard to establish friendships with french students; as erasmus students use to have a lot of other activities going on.

A lot of my fellow erasmus students lived in Beaulieu. if you don't like to share kitchen and bathroom with 50 other students you better look for your own apartment closer to downtown and the university. anyways bringing a bike or a car makes you a lot more flexible.
Living on campus is a great way to meet other students and its great fun

Campus Accomodation is extremely cheap but the students do not have much privacy because there are so many living together.The location is not very good because one must take the bus to get to college.
It is the least expensive and largely sufficient for a one-year stay abroad as you only spend little time in the romm itself ;-)

The rooms are tiny, just nine sqare meters in space, the toilets are shared by all students in the residency. Still there are many positive aspects also. You have a ping-pong room, a tennis and a baseball court and two tv-rooms also.

It is a good way to meet people of all nationalities but it is very impersonal. It was also a good bit out from the city so we spent alot of money on buses and taxis. Relatively clean but quite old.
