Travel as much as you can; hike, bike, walk around Lake Constance till you can't anylonger....I plan to live there once I leave the USA.

There is a party every night in Konstanz. Don't miss Sonnenbuehl and Europahaus parties, and check out the Shamrock, the cocktail bar (half price wednesdays) and Shananigans. Make sure you are in town for Fasching, the only time of the year where the germans go absolutely crazy.

I found the housing arrangments made by the university to be very helpful. Many of the students there could easily move to a different building if they were unsatisfied even after signing a contract.
