In Spain it is more usual to eat in a restaurant. In the Netherlands most of the time we were having dinner with friends at home. The telephone was more expensive because of the calls abroad. The accomodation which I found was really less expensive. The nightlife in this big city is really expensive in for example the discotheque. Off course you travel more than you normally do in you own country, so the expenses are higher. Overall the expenses are higher than in at home.

I think prices are more reasonable in Spain. Things are cheaper, but due to the fact that the Euro compared to the Mexican peso is a lot more, that´s what made it sometimes more expensive in some things. Although for example airplane tickets are much more cheaper in Europe using some airlines than in Mexico by far.

Because I lived alone in a flat so I spent more in accomodation but usually my familiy called me , then I used to go out more and visit Spain

I wouldn't say I really spent too much more in any of these categories but if shopping had been a choice I definitely would have put more.

I spent more because I was constantly eating out, going out, and traveling - wanting to get the most out of the short time I was there.

The rents are pretty high in barcelona, and that was the biggest part I had to spent money on, also without a spanish bankaccount I wasn´t able to make a contract with the phone company and I had to use prepaid cards on my mobile, and they were ofcourse more expensive
