A lot. Like how much paper work you had to do just to register. But things just pop up on the way so you can never really be 100% ready.

To be less bureaucratic. To build a "buddy system", where local students help the exchange students with all the basic things such as registering for subjects etc. An international office where people actually can speak english.

Valencia is a nice and cosy city to live in. The social life is great and you will never get bored. Be sure to make contacts with the local people or better yet share an appartment with other local students.

Do not get frustrated when administration is not done as easily in Belgium.

Leave early enough to be able to adapt (read: spend some holidays) in the city where you will live in. When the academic year starts, it will still feel a little as holidays, but not as much as before. It is also very useful to already start and learn the language before the academic year.

Make sure you have some knowledge of Spanish before going, so you will be able to find yourself a place to live. Live with Spaniards as it offers you the possibility to speak and understand the spanish slang as domestic terms. Also you get to know the culture and domestic life better. Speak Spanish with every one straight from the beginning even when it seems impossible. Travelling is rather cheap with an international student card. During eatern you should visit Andalusia as it is very green and tempature is bearable in the cities. Satisfecho con el Master cursado, habían bastantes trabajos prácticos, la mayoría de los profesores eran buenos, buen nivel de seminarios y el establecimiento contaba con lo necesario para un agradable curso.

Si hubo ayuda para encontrar prácticas pero la fecha en que se publico la lista fue mucho más tarde de lo esperado.
