Personal recommendation
Maastricht Universiteit was a great choice I made, and I would definitely go there, if I was to go back in time and choose again. The people are generally very nice and you can easily comunicate with everyone. It is very good on academic grounds, and even though you have to work, you can have a lot of fun.

Final comments
There is a possibility of getting snow in December/January; the location is very central, on what accounts to Europe, and so it is very easy to get anywhere (Belgium, Germany, Holland are very near), so you should take advantage of your free time, and travel a lot.

The University is pretty good, however in my opinion the city is too small and this is what made me look for possibilities outside.
Teachers are mostly good, however, there is still some amount of them which are really incoherent....

“The Maastricht experience”
Milda M
Netherlands, Graduate
Area, Ethnic, and Cultural Studies, 2018
Overall
The campus of Maastricht uniquely was all over the city, making every trip from the faculty to the library, for example, refreshing. The teachers, always ready to help, guided our PBL (problem based learning) sessions with ease, confident that the students have prepared the assignment to discuss. Discussions were centered around relevant contemporary topics, such as: philosophy, politics, and more concretely for me - media, its influence on an individual and society alike. The experience was a perfect balance between working together and individually, which helped shape critical thinking and an open understanding of the ever-changing world around us.
