The food price is not so higher or almost the same as in Portugal as long as we look at the prices. Telephone for the obvious reasons. Nightlife because I had a lot more in Holland than in Portugal but it's still like the double or triple price. Travelling is really cheap, fast and easy, I just spent more because in Portugal I never travelled so much.

Sum needed to be paid by non-EU members when asking for resident permit (cca 260 euro). Saving tip - if want to travel, buy reduction card for transport - it might look expensive but reduction and following use of it is worth it.

Prices in supermarkets are higher than in Germany, the market in the city center on saturdays is very cheap.
