Why?
It was a student house and the accomdations were excellent-clean, large rooms, reasonably priced. It was located clsoe to the university and enxt to a supermarket and internet cafe and real clsoe to the city center

Got the chance of interacting and living with a person from another culture, and at the same time having the independence of living in one's own space. It was a great opportunity to 'live' in netherlands.
