I went specifically to learn the language (3 hours a day, 5 days a week, 6 weeks), and wasn't dissapointed.

It is good overall since in Norway everybody speaks perfect english so communication is not an issue at all

A big problem in Norway is that English is everywhere and there is little interaction with Norwegian students as internationals all live together, I wanted total immersion, almost impossible ,I«m afraid.

Take the chance to learn Norwegian, espacially if your mother language is German or Dutch cause then it's not very difficult. If you want to go to Norway to improve your English: Don't expect too much. The teachers also have English just as a foreign language.
