Amatøren, Garage, a place downtown I don't remember the name of... but it was very nice! But most of the student nightlife occurs in the student village, since it's quite expensive to go out. You just have to get used to it, and once you are, it's not bad at all!

Don't miss Bla bar, it's a really nice place near the river where you may find all the best bands of norway. You also have the coffe hour at the university where you may meet a lot of international students.

There are some places you cannot miss: The first called Blaa: A place with its own great history; other So What! very cool in my opinion. You can also have a look at a pub among the pubs in the campus; and finally the familiar atmosphere in the pub of Kringsjaa

There was so much to do on-campus, that i didn't have much time left over to explore oslo's places. I remember ther were some good salsa-places, one good oriental bar and an operabar, very special!

Oslo isn«t exactly the party capital of the world. Chateau Neuf is the main student union type place although it isn«t anything to write home about. Student parties take place in most faculties, often in the foyer! Surreal, but fun if you are in the mood. A big drawback to social life in Oslo is that many, in fact most bars, pubs and clubs have rather high age limits; 25 in some places at the weekend. Lots of people go to So What? DON«T! It«s horrible!

The "Why not" downtown is the best. the university pubs are preatty good too.
