For travel I suggest you buy a second hand cycle, in bus try to get hold of a bus card. To avoid depression try to call home as often as possible and ensure that you make friends.

Ryan air flies from Haugesund, only a bustrip away, visit London! And try the ship to Denmark. Also, Bergen, Kristiansand and Oslo are must sees if you have time. Be open and just jump in, everyone is there to meet new and exciting cultures. Don't be afraid to ask and most importantly don't be afraid to make contact with the locals. It can be very difficult to do, because most international students rarely have opportunities for it, but just be brave and jump in!

nothing really, though I came to visit the country before I decided to come to Norway. That would be something I would recommend...come to visit, talk with the local students from your country, contact with the local international student union or the international department, they will help you to make a wise decision.

to extend number of vacancies for international students; It is a very reasonable number now, stil it would be great to see an even more international campus :)

Irresponsive to the students

Overall
It was Covid time and we were having online classes through our own country throughout first semester and students who joined other campuses in Norway were motivated to learn more because advisors, campus employees and professors motivated them to level up while UIS ignored. We were demotivated and frustrated at times when listening some words of motivation was only a option which was the biggest regret i ever felt in UIS.
