it's a very good university and it gives you many opportunity, in your studies and for your personal experince. even geographically it's extreme and this is a challenging experience but unique and difficult to understand if you don't try. I was impressed by teachers and by their disponibility, the atmospheer is relaxed but very professional at the same time. if i have the possibility i will try to go back for some specializations.

the palce is fantastic, the nature also. the university and the city are lovely. it's pretty far from the core of Europe but it's easy to rich by plane, even if it's a little bit expensive, but it worth.
if you can be there and you have the possibility try to find an accomodation close to the university campus and not too far from the city centre. about social life, the best is to partecipate to the largest number of activities (all kind of) and to do the card for sport activities, if you like to ski try to carry your own equipment. can be very cold but it's a unique experincethe the long arctic winter. Tromso it's a lively city and there are thousands things to do, and the night life it's impressive.

No, I got plenty of information before, and the guys from International Office and Social Office were brilliant (watch out for that Information Week!).

I recommend it strongly, I loved it. But I'm not everybody.
Tromsø is located at 70 degrees north, a place with fantastic nature, close to wilderness and so on.
"Big city people" who are not into that, might have problems to cope with this.
If not you will enjoy the year of your life!

It has a very friendly international atmosphere. This may be further enhanced if they require international students to learn and pass the local language as part of their programmes

Can be extremely cold, windy, lots of snow and dark in the long winter months in Tromsø. The weather is not bad per se, your dressing may however be bad!

Located in the high north, this study program offers small class sizes in a relaxed atmosphere. Issues occurring is little flexibility to the set structure due to lack of course options.
