Alojamiento
Tipo de alojamiento: Piso o apartamento
Organizado por: Independientemente - por elección propia
Si volviera, eligiría: Piso o apartamento
¿Por qué?
I enjoyed the mixture: living in a house with both native and foreign people, some of whom were students, others were working. I prefer the independence compared with university accomodation.

There is very limited university housing. If you want this type of accomodation, ask for it as soon as possible. Dublin is very expensive for accomodation. Often it is a lot cheaper to share a room with someone. Don't be put off by this, it can be very character building learning to live with a new person, and often it will create an awesome friendship that will last (my old room-mate just came to visit me in Madrid and we are about to arrange a reunion with our whole flat in amesterdam). Also try to get accomodation near the bus route 10, it is the most regular bus out to UCD.

Tipo de alojamiento: Dorm on satellite campus of UCD
Organizado por: Universidad de origen
Si volviera, eligiría: On UCD MAIN campus
¿Por qué?
I lived in the Blackrock Campus of UCD, but took classes on UCD main campus. It would have been easier/more of a "college" experience if I had lived on the campus where I attended class.

The UCD Blackrock campus, (West and East Hall residences), are old but charming. The residences were once home to nuns(!) but have since been converted. All rooms are singles and have a sink, while bathrooms and kitchens are communal.

it was good, four people in a flat, there were all basic things we need to live. it was warm and cosy. the living room was quite big, although the single rooms were small but still I was very happy to have my own room. there were lots of trees and bushes sourrounding the house which was very nice.

It was expensive and I still haven't received the refund cheque for my deposit!!! The building was very old, I was lucky that I didn't have bed-bugs. I had a big room, but facilities were old and partly broken. It was 15 minutes by bike to go to university.

To live on campus at Merville it's awesome, good flats and even if you have your privacy in a single room, you share the flat with other three persons, so you cannot be lonely. Not as good the other campus but still good to get to know people.

The Campus was too far away from the city centre and there was nothing going on there.

Accommodation was good, but I would have prefered to be in the city centre because there you have more things to do, and you have the opportunity to know more Irish people and to learn more about them.
