I had the opportunity to learn the language of the country. At the beginnign it was quite difficult but thanks to my strong basic and grammar knowledge It became easy to talk to Irish, even with their strange pronunciation

I was pretty good in English before going to UCD, but after it was much better because I had a contact with a language all the time while speaking, reading books in this language, watching movies and listening to radio.

Basically there were no big problems! But did you ever meet somebody from Northern Ireland! Language is no big problem in Ireland because people are very friendly and try to help you whenever they can! After a while you will be able to cope with the differnt accents!

Irish people are very open-minded. For that reason it is not very difficult to get to know some native people. This will give you the opportunity to improve your English!

At the beginning it has been a bit hard, but people were very kind. I always met people that helped me everytime I couldn't understand. And in university teachers used slides, so I have had little problems to follow the courses
